Do you go bananas for eggcellent hair masks?! This one will leave your hair feeling softer than a baby’s bottom, and smelling like a tropical, floral paradise!
The oils, banana, and honey moisturize the hair shaft while the eggs give it a much needed dose of protein for optimal health.
1 extra large egg
1/4 cup coconut oil
1/4 cup grapeseed oil
1 overripe banana
1 tbsp organic honey
2-4 drops of your favorite essential oils (I used orange, geranium and rose)
Add all ingredients to blender and blend until smooth. The finished product should look like this:
Apply mixture to dry hair, and ensure hair is saturated
Cover hair with plastic cap (or a grocery bag if you don’t have a hair cap handy)
Leave on for 20-30 minutes
Rinse, first with cool water, then warm–followed by your usual hair care routine, ie. shampooing/conditioning.
Use this hair mask once a week for soft, luxurious locks that smell like a tropical paradise!
Note* I have hair that almost reaches my knees so the amounts used in this hair mask reflect that. If your hair is shorter adjust the amounts accordingly so as not to waste any ingredients.
